话题：这个问题属于社会现象里面涉及的老年人和年轻人相关讨论。难度不大，但是要注意题目里面的”choose”意味着主动选择去老年社区，所以更多时候要从老年人的角度考虑比较合适。
问题：这个是利弊题目里面的一种问法。可以写单边，也就是只是这个现象积极或者消极的一方面。也可以写双边，就是积极消极两边都讨论。但是具体到这个题目，积极的单向讨论更好些一些。

WHAT ：older people 一般多大?退休以后6-70以上，他们的生活有什么特点?和年轻人不一样的?
WHAT：retirement communities退休社区也就是老年社区或者叫老年中心。这个和我们传统意义上的养老院，老人只能躺着接受治疗的还是有些区别。更多的时候可以认为是一个建筑群+社区服务(包含医疗、社会活动、学习中心)这样的一个整体。

In recent years, a rising number of older adults prefer to live in senior living communities instead of staying at home with their adult children. In my opinion, this is a positive trend.
Firstly, the rise in senior living community lifestyle could enhance residents’ sense of security and enjoy the peace of mind. This is because they have access to good medical service, assisted living amenities and security surveillance. If seniors live with their adult children, they could still fear about unsafe or unhealthy situations like falling as their family members can not be full-time caregivers due to work reasons.
Secondly, living in a retirement community means older adults do not have to worry about daily issues like grocery shopping, meal preparation and housekeeping. If seniors liberate themselves from those time-consuming activities, they are able to focus on what they really interested in and live a fulling life. For example, older residents may find it entertainig and delightful to play bridge, read books or take dancing classes at senior communities.
Finally, social programs and special events organized by retirement communities create opportunities for seniors to socialise with each other, thus feeling less isolated and lonely. Activities like buffet suffers, day-trips, dances, special social events make it easy to join a network of like-mind adults of similar ages who come from all walks of life and can share their life experience with. These social connections contribute to overall sense of well-bing and happiness.
In conclusion, it is clear to me that living in retirement communities allows seniors to have a better quality of life.
