　　俗话说读写不分家。读书不仅是为了增长知识，练习思考能力，还是可以帮助我们认识并熟悉词汇。通过阅读来理解词汇与单纯死背词汇*大的区别是读书让我们用心体会词汇，一个个由字母组成的单词不再是枯燥的符号，而是被作者赋予了生命的和读者进行心灵对话的使者。而且阅读让我们在一定情境下去了解词汇的意思和用法，更便于掌握词的使用。

　　无论是读小说还是The New York Times, Fortune等杂志文章，在阅读的同时可以将喜欢的词和句子抄在笔记本上，经常翻看，久而久之，可灵活使用的词汇句式就会不断增长。

　　制作词汇手册

　　将词汇归类可便于记忆、学习和使用。比如你可以将描述感官的词句分类。声音类，如落叶踩在脚下“crackling”， 巨大的海浪在“roaring”，金属撞击时”clanking”。触觉类，如物体表面silky, bumpy, filthy, dusty等。又比如描述冲突/对抗的词句，描述改变/增加/减少的词句。随着阅读的增加，逐渐积累手册上的内容。
