The thing I often take up in my leisure time is surfing the internet. The information on the internet can enable me to understand the world better. And it helps me to become a more successful person. When I was selecting which university and which major to take after I graduated from the high school, the internet gave me a lot of useful information about the future of some of my prospective professions. I even talked with several people in those particular professions and got their opinions about it. And I think it is really helpful. (96 words)

The one that I personally admire the most is a character named Alan Shore in a TV series called Boston Legal. Maybe you have heard about it. This character has changed my definition of what a perfect man is and what characteristics one should hopefully possess. He is decent, a man of his word, one of the very few that I regard as having a strong sense of justice. Yet he is not bound up by the rules and knows when to break them to achieve the ultimate good. And he is interesting and eloquent, all the things that I desire to have. (103)

The advantage of this plan is ebooks are easy to carry. Thousands of books can be loaded onto one device. These devices are small and light to carry around. Being able to search an entire book is awesome. This allows us to find a keyword within seconds. The other side of the coin is that ebooks require a reading device which can be expensive. Students have to buy new ones when it’s broken. A new model would come out every year with new features to encourage people to upgrade. The cost of these devices can be so much higher than owning paper books.

I usually throw things away after I’m done using them. First, I live in a very small apartment. I have very limited storage space, I can’t keep everything because there’s simply no room for them. Some of my friends like keeping things, they rent self-storage space to keep all their belongings. I don’t think it’s a smart move. Basically they’re paying for things they don’t want to throw away to become trash. My parents do it too. They put things in drawers and closets and keep them there for years without ever touching or using them again. I would just give them to someone else or throw them away.

The most important letter that I can remember was a letter applying for a job. I had seen this job advertised in a local newspaper, the evening editon. It suited me very much and I was immediately attracted to it. It said to apply in writing, giving details of your experience, your education and when you were available，and you had to give the names and contacts of two references. I was qualified for the job and eager to get it.
When I was finished writing I was pretty satisfied and a little pleased, posted it off to the address given and waited! Thankfully, before I sweated too much, I got a letter after a couple of days, saying they wanted me to come in for interview. I was very pleased to go for the interview and got the job, my first job!
